Latvian President Visits California with Over 70 Innovative Companies to Strengthen Technological Cooperation
Recently, President of the Republic of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs visited California, accompanied by a delegation of over 70 Latvian companies, primarily from the technology and innovation sectors. The delegation was warmly welcomed by senior members of the California Investment Forum (CIF), marking a significant step toward deepening cooperation in technological innovation and global development.
The majority of the companies in the Latvian delegation are focused on cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, information technology, green energy, and biotechnology. President Rinkēvičs emphasized that Latvian companies are not only dedicated to advancing their own technological capabilities but are also committed to using innovation to serve humanity worldwide, enhancing quality of life and promoting sustainable development.
During discussions, the CIF expressed strong interest in Latvia’s technological innovations, particularly in the potential for collaboration with leading institutions such as Berkeley Lab. Both parties reached a preliminary agreement to enhance technical exchanges and cooperation.
