California Investment Forum and Flying Tigers Host High-Level Networking Mixer Highlighting Investment in California and Global Collaboration

On May 29, 2025, the California Investment Forum (CIF), in collaboration with the American Flying Tigers Communication Association, successfully hosted the “Flying Tigers Friendship Entrepreneurs Networking Mixer” at the Sheraton San Gabriel. The event gathered government officials, business leaders, and investors to explore investment opportunities in California and foster international cooperation.

The event was MC’d  by Daniel Thiel and   social media influencer Greg Liu. Opening remarks were delivered by Flying Tiger Communication Association Chairwoman Qing Yu, CIF Chairman Daniel Sieu, and California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, who highlighted California’s strong economic momentum and its rise as the world’s fourth-largest economy.

A featured panel discussion, “Why Invest in California,” covered topics such as federal funding, export-import policies, GoBiz programs, and global market expansion. Speakers included former GE Capital Vice President Jason Gahari, CIF Committee Member and biotech expert Daniel Thiel, whose presentation on stroke and cardiovascular treatment technologies received significant interest.

The event was also attended by Ms. Jing Peng, Commercial Consul of the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, along with numerous Chinese American community leaders and entrepreneurs.

The forum highlighted CIF’s core role as an international investment platform committed to advancing economic cooperation and innovation between California and the global community.
